Hypnosis During Treatment

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state that you experience daily. For example, when you’re so absorbed in a movie, a book, or even a story, you feel as if you are truly part of it. It seems real to you, and you experience all the emotions and feelings of the story, even forgetting your emotional state before you began.

Hypnosis creates a “modified state of consciousness.” During a hypnotherapy session, your unconscious mind becomes more present. Your conscious mind, which may be limited by certain blockages or beliefs, takes a backseat.

The advantage of being in this state is that it allows you to access your unconscious resources to bring about the desired change and reach the goal you aim for.

Common Misconceptions

Is it sleep? No, it is a modified state of consciousness. Your awareness remains present, and you become more of an observer. You will still hear the voice of the hypnotherapist, who guides you through the various steps of the process.

Is it psychotherapy? No, it is brief therapy.

Does the therapist have power over me? No, the hypnotherapist has no control over the patient.

Why should I have a hypnosis session?

A hypnosis session induces a deep state of relaxation and helps you let go. Hypnosis can also help you break free from habits, phobias (like claustrophobia), anxiety, stress, and more. It can also assist you in achieving goals, such as reducing pain.

During your first session, you will share the reason for your consultation with the hypnotherapist, and together, you will set a goal to achieve.

How and Where?

Hypnotherapy is available at your request. Sessions can take place after your radiotherapy treatment by appointment. Each session lasts about 30 minutes, and a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended. For any inquiries, you can contact the radiotherapy team.

You will not need to pay for this consultation as it is covered as part of your treatment.
